About Sesame Street the Musical

The hit musical returns to New York City!

Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby, Grover, Rosita, Ernie, Bert, The Count, Gabrielle and a whole host of Honkers, Martians and other Sesame Street favorites have ventured onto the stage to appear in their very own musical – starring… well, themselves.

Featuring classic Sesame Street songs and new numbers by Broadway’s brightest songwriters. Directed by Jonathan Rockefeller and produced by Rockefeller Productions.

Know before you go

Theatre is completely wheelchair accessible. There are minimal steps into the theatre from the sidewalk, but there is a ramp located to the east side of the Theater.

See it if you love the Sesame Street muppets, want a short one act, need to lift your mood

Don’t see it if small children in the audience annoy you, you have no connection to Sesame Street, want deep material

Clever, Funny, Resonant, Enchanting, Delightful

See it if NAILS its audience, as expected. I think avg kid age was about 2-4? Very sweet, fun theatre puns for the parents. Classic and new songs both

Don’t see it if Show runs a little more than an hour. Not the easiest to get up from. Reminder partial view seats are in front- a panel hides the performers
