Tony Award® winner, Emmy Award® winner, and Oscar® nominee Laurence Fishburne is both the star and the playwright of this one-man tour de force which he describes as “the stories and lies people have told me. And that I have told myself.”

Mr. Fishburne has captured imaginations throughout his extraordinary career with unforgettable performances on stage and screen, from Ike Turner in What’s Love Got to Do with It? (Academy Award® nomination for Best Actor), to Sterling Johnson in August Wilson’s Two Trains Running (Tony Award for Best Featured Actor), to his mind-bending turn as Morpheus in the blockbuster film series The Matrix.

Now he brings his legendary storytelling skills to PAC NYC for a World Premiere event helmed by Leonard Foglia, director of Mr. Fishburne’s acclaimed solo performance Thurgood on Broadway.

Exquisite, Riveting, Profound, Masterful, Great acting

See it if You want to be carried away by the masterful storytelling and the chameleon performance of Mr Fishburne. This glorious one man show stunns!

Don’t see it if I can’t think of a single reasonable reason to not see this show. Even if you hate one person shows this stunning piece is the exception!

Too long, Quirky, Slow, Masterful, Great acting

See it if you are a Lawrence Fishburne fan - he bares his soul and shows off his prodigious talent in varied scenes with sparse but effective staging

Don’t see it if you are expecting a typical show - this is both an actor’s highlight reel and intimate confessional, which makes for an uneven evening

See it if You like Laurence Fishburne, like powerhouse acting, on man shows, and non-fiction. Fishburne is a master of his craft.

Don’t see it if If you are looking for a more linear plot, a grandiose production, or something more lighthearted
